Reia

Sauvignon

First flash: this wine is the embodiment of the sun. We see it in colour, we smell it, we perceive it in its powerful body, supported by a high alcohol level. A divine wine for the worship of the primordial deity, the ancient Egyptian Ra. The liquefied power of nature leaves no one indifferent. The colour of pure gold is underpinned by aromas of candied fruit, grapefruit, ripe pear, vineyard peach, roasted almonds and hazelnuts, flint... This is the smell of Brda itself, scorched by the summer sun. The palate reveals its rich body, enhanced by spices, caramel, ripe fruit, exoticism... Anyone looking for elderflower and pepper or tomato leaves will not find them here. No selected commercial yeasts are used here, only indigenous ones from the vineyard. This is a sauvignon that does not play on caressing chords, it is closer to syncopation and the lower notes are more suited to it than the high notes. In the choir, it would belong to the tenors, where red wines otherwise belong.
Sauvignon REIA is a wine that can easily find friends among a variety of dishes, provided they are bold enough not to overwhelm. Asparagus and truffles are its first choice, but grilled porcini mushrooms, risotto or Alpe-Jadran noodles (mare-monti) with mushrooms and seafood, oven-roasted river or sea fish, lamb ribs with butter potatoes, pork shanks, feathered game... it can do it all, as well as cheeses with a noble mould, and even some desserts.

From the peaks of the hills, the view extends from the Julian and Carniolan Alps and the Dolmites in the background, to the Adriatic Sea.
