Brda & Friends - 11.5.2024, wine festival

We are presenting to you the premiere edition of a completely new wine festival Brda&Friends, the likes of which have never been seen in Slovenia and its wider surroundings. The Brda&Friends event will be attended by 50+ wine houses, both from the Goriška Brda region and with international participation, boutique cheesemakers and restaurants.

Producer Group For The Wine Sector

Inclusion in sub-measure 9.1 Support for the establishment of producer groups and organisations in the agricultural and forestry sector under the Rural Development Programme of the Republic of Slovenia for the period 2014-2020 for the establishment of a producer group for the wine sector.

Goriška Brda

Over the centuries, Brda has been intertwined with a cultural heritage that is visible today: from the cultivated landscape, the characteristic architecture of villages and castles, to the many ethnological curiosities of people of Brda, the customs and habits, and the distinctive speech. The stamp of the past has left its traces.

The wine is a dense ruby colour with a pleasing bouquet that is intense, predominantly fruity but with a noticeable presence of spice and leather. The taste is rounded, balanced, still fresh, with tannins that have not yet had the last word. The aftertaste is clean, full and lingering.
