Sirk Valter

The ideal sunny position of the vineyards, the laporous soil and the intertwining of the Mediterranean and Alpine climate guarantee the quality of our wines.
The Sirk family has been continuously engaged in viticulture and winemaking for several generations.
Valter Sirk, who runs the farm today, started his own production in 1991. The family farm remains faithful to Rebula and other indigenous varieties (Malvasia, Tokaj-Yakot), which are the pride of Brda, a reflection of people and terroir. For a long time, production was limited to the Slovenian market, but today it is focused on the European market as well as on markets across Oceania.Today on our farm we cultivate 6 hectares of vineyards planted with 24000 vines. We are involved in integrated farming because we farm in harmony with nature. In our recently built wine cellar we produce 35000-40000 bottles of top quality wine annually. We pay special attention to autochthonous varieties, as they give our wines originality, a strong personality and a friendly character. With them we delight lovers of wine specialities, extreme structures and crazy tastes. Our wines reflect a distinct balance of taste, aroma and freshness. The unique qualities of these structural wines are particularly expressed in combination with top-class cuisine. They are sold exclusively in restaurants and wine shops.
