The wine is slightly translucent ruby color with aromas of ripe cherries, plums and subtle percep- tions of spices and orange peel. In the mouth the wine is fruity and ripe with gentle tannins. The wine is very balanced with a nice aftertaste of cherry pips
It is difficult to determine the age from which the Ščurkas have been engaged in viticulture, but it remains recorded that Stojan’s nono Franc cultivated 1 hectare of vine and produced 50 hectolitres of wine. Today, with the help of his five sons, Stojan cultivates 20 hectares of vineyards, and the harvest is suitable for this. Most of the properties are in the Italian part of Brda, but the best locations are Grotišče, Dugo, Mahober, Jazbine, Jordano, Gredič and Kozlink.
